 Modern Mythology 2022

Everyone gazes at the sky to see the Big Star’s beauty The way it radiates and shines

Piercing through the clouds

It illuminates the world

There’s a star right next to it who has no name It is only a little star

This weak light admires the Big Star

And way the Big Star makes it feel

And in turn the little star brings joy, too, to its larger neighbor Making the tiny star think it has everything it will ever need

There are also other stars next to the Big Star

Who just like the smaller light, dote on its huge brightness And also feel warm

If only the Big Star wasn’t so important

If only it remained hidden by the clouds

Where no one could see it except for the little star Then it would just be the two of them

One day, the small twinkling brightness confronted the Big Star Asking for it to shrink

So no one could interfere with them

The Big Star agreed

As days passed on, the Big Star grew smaller and smaller

The Big Star no longer radiated that same beautiful energy that the little star always cherished

More days passed, until the Big Star was barely visible

The two stars who were once by each other’s side were now miles apart

Now the Big Star, who was always so beautiful in the little star’s eyes Was now also just a little star in the distance

And the little star, who was always so big in the Big Star’s eyes Remains a little star
