At this current point in time, what specific goal(s) do you have for yourself? Why?

One of my goals are to get at least a 4 on my AP Tests because that would give me credits for my college. I also want to learn how to drive because it is an extremely important skill to have in car-centric America. In most places, it is more convenient to drive rather than take public transport. Another goal that I have is to learn how to cook because I plan to dorm in university, and learning how to cook would be useful in making healthier meals for myself.  Another goal that I have is to be able to write better essays, because I am having this issue where I have the ideas in my head but when I type them out on paper, the sentence comes out alien. I also plan to be better at video editing, because I want to explore my passions.

How do you demonstrate resilience towards achieving this goal? (or these goals?)

For the AP Tests, I dedicated most of my time leading up to them studying the material thoroughly. I already understood the material well enough thanks to the notes that I took in my AP Classes. I am planning to take a driver’s ed class in the near future, to learn how to drive. My mother said that she will be able to teach me how to cook, and I have already learned how to cook a chicken and make french fries.  I plan to read more books during the summer to be able to be better at writing.  I will learn to edit videos better from the large swath of tutorial videos on youtube.

How does the world around you affect your perception of this goal? (or these goals?)

I do wish that there was a less emphasis on cars being a necessity in society, because I believe that a robust public transportation system is better in the long run, because it reduces pollution and traffic congesture.  This doesn’t mean that driving should be eliminated completely because driving still has its importance. I believe that I will be able to achieve these goals due to my progress on them. There is a library near me that I can use to read books on.
