Daniel Samborski period 1 Aim: how did the Norse view love, hospitality and attention to detail? They started us off by asking us if you have ever been jealous of somebody else, and if you had taken any actions against this person. Matthew keeler said that taking actions based on jealousy is not justified. Next Paulina presented slides describing the goddess Frigg, the Jotun Loki, and the god Balder. Next, someone was called to spirit read the story about the death of balder. After that, they presented a group discussion asking to compare Loki to a mistletoe. Andrew raised his hand and said that Loki was parasitic since he is only there to annoy and burden the gods. They then asked the class how the story of Balders death tells about the north conception of love. Mrs Peterson said that the story shows that love should not be overlooked, and Edward added on by including that his mom traveled long and far in order to prevent him from dying.
